College Qualities
The College has an excellent reputation for the educational achievements of its students. Small student numbers are seen to provide a huge advantage in that staff and students have a good knowledge of each other and a very caring attitude is evident. The College staff aim to provide a full range of opportunities for all students and to ensure they are not disadvantaged by their location.

Our small student numbers provide a huge advantage in that all staff and students have a good knowledge of each other and a very caring attitude is evident. The small number of staff facilitates ready consultation, allowing most decision making to be by consensus. The school has excellent facilities and plenty of space; both staff and students take pride in its appearance. Murrayville Community College provides quality programs for students, but recognises the need to accept change and the challenges that are associated with those changes. Developing traditions, recognising achievements, fostering and rewarding both student effort and excellence all build motivation and self-esteem. A comprehensive, relevant and inclusive curriculum encourages the use of local resources and challenges students while broadening their horizons.

The curriculum is continually evaluated with input from the school community. Teachers create a disciplined working atmosphere, while using a variety of teaching styles and resources. Ongoing professional development programs ensures contemporary methodology can be practised. Special needs students are catered for with a variety of suitable programs and with Integration Aides, when funding is available.
